Hendrickson Hooked Up, Wins Friday Night at Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT, NJ (July 16, 2005) - Wade Hendrickson, Lawrenceville, NJ, had his hot rod hooked up this past Friday Night at Bridgeport Speedway, scoring his second win of the 2005 season.
"The Thrill" Jesse Hill grabbed the early lead in the 25 lap DIRT 358 Modified feature event. Hill pulled away as Hendrickson hustled to second from a fourth place starting position. Hendrickson powered past Hill on a restart and never looked back. GR Smith blasted into the second position four circuits later with Billy "The Kid" Pauch right on bumper in the Pioneer Pole Buildings #1. The battle opened for fourth as Richie Pratt and Jimmy Horton fought tooth and nail for the position. Hendrickson held on for the victory in the Atlantic Wood Floors #2W, Smith finished in second with Billy Pauch in third, Jimmy Horton in fourth and Richie Pratt Jr in fifth.
Jim Wyers, Steelmantown, NJ, doubled up this past Friday Night picking up the victories in both the Jasper Sprint Series and the 270cc Micro Sprints. Wyers, who currently leads the point standing in both divisions, becomes the first driver to pick up Friday Night victories in two separate divisions.
