JIMMY HORTON RETURNS TO BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY’S VICTORY LANE ALONG WITH PAT HIRES, MIKE HUGHES, GLEN HEVERIN, AND CHUCK PALMUCCI
Jimmy Horton battled Ricky “The Rocket” Elliott for his 106th win at Bridgeport Speedway on Friday August 6, 2004. Horton took the lead on lap 8, made his way through lapped traffic with Elliott right beside him, and came away with his first Bridgeport victory since September of 2003. Glen Heverin soared through the 600 Sprint race, claiming the victory as Chuck Palmucci grabbed the trophy for the 250 Sprint division. The Outlaw Stock series saw Pat Hires score a victory while Mike Hughes crossed the finish line first in the 4 Cylinder competition. Saturday, August 7th,2004, Bridgeport will host more Big Block Modified competition, along with Jasper Sprints and Sunoco Sportsmans. The racing begins at 6:30 with gates opening at 5:00pm.
