Billy “The Kid” Pauch scores another Big Block Modified win at Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday July 24th.

Billy “The Kid” Pauch breezed around Bridgeport for his 50th career Big Block win, taking his competitors “to school” as he used the entire track to secure his victory. Don Barone started in the top spot of the 25-lap feature but lost the lead to Steve Durand of Mahwah NJ out of turn 2 on lap 3. Barone out of Greenbrook NJ, got shuffled back to third after a series of yellow flags were thrown by the fifth lap. Durand led the race until “Jammin” Jamie Mills stole the lead off of the restart. Durand suffered mechanical problems, driving off the track on lap 10. Mills ran two circuits as the race leader, before veteran Billy Pauch blew by on the inside of turn 4 on the 12th lap. Meanwhile, Doug Hoffman ran in the third position with pressure from Mike Iles and Jimmy Horton. Billy “The Kid” Pauch continued to dominate, waiting patiently through several yellow flag incidents.
