Carmine Infante, of Cream Ridge NJ,enjoyed his 1st trip to Victory Lane in the Big Block Modified Feature at Racing Electronics night at Bridgeport Speedway
Bud Schweibinz started on the pole, looking for a break in his recent streak of bad luck. He held on to the lead until Carmine Infante took the top spot on Lap 3 of the 25 lap event. Infante dominated for several laps while Mark Forte, Doug Hoffman, and Kevin Hirthler waged war for second place. Mike Iles and Mark Forte swapped spots off and on for a few circuits while Ricky Elliott moved up through the pack to contend for the second spot on lap 23. Infante ran away with the win as Hoffman won the battle over Elliott for a second place finish. Ricky “The Rocket” Elliott would end up third as Kevin Hirthler and Duane Howard rounded out the fourth and fifth spots.
John Wyers runs to “the wire” in the Jasper Sprint Division Feature for his second victory of the Bridgeport 2004 Season
John Wyers of Marmora NJ, started 8th in the Jasper Sprint Feature and finished 1st, securing his lead in the point standings. Jeff Mueller led for most of the 20 lap feature with lead challenges from Mark “Mr. Twister” Bitner and John Wyers. Mark Bitner brought out the yellow when he tangled with a lapped car on turn 1 on lap 10. From Lap 10 on, the battle for the lead provided awesome racing for the fans as well as the competitors with John Wyers and Jeff Muelller trading 1st and 2nd positions several times before Mueller ran out of laps. John Wyers finished 1st with Jeff Mueller in 2nd. Third was Jim Wyers followed by Jeff Foote in the 4th position. Steve Fleetwood topped off the top 5.
Richie Pratt Jr backs up bad week with 5th win of the season at Bridgeport Speedway in rescheduled feature from June 26, 2004
It took all of 8 laps for Richie Pratt Jr of Sewell NJ to climb in to the top ten of the 20 lap Sunoco Sportsman Feature. He stole several spots on lap 11 and wound up in a three car battle with Rookie Sean Carman and Mike Hughes for the 5th position. Bill Klingmeyer led from the pole, holding off Steve Lozorak until Richie Pratt Jr appeared out of nowhere with a power move on the inside of turn 3, grabbing the lead from Klingmeyer on Lap 20. Klingmeyer raced Pratt for another circuit but wound up having to settle for second as Pratt collected his 5th win of the 2004 season. The top five finishers were: Richie Pratt Jr, Bill Klingmeyer, Sean Carman, Mike Hughes , and John Pursell.
Bill Klingmeyer wins 2nd Sunoco Sportsman Feature of the 2004 Bridgeport Speedway Season
Bill Klingmeyer won his third career win from the pole position in Sunoco Sportsman Feature at Bridgeport Speedway. Klingmeyer led the entire 20 laps but had to secure his win by consistently holding off guys like Jim Britt and Richie Pratt Jr. Jim Britt held onto his second place run for fifteen laps until Richie “Last Lap” Pratt Jr charged from backfield to claim the second spot. Pratt gave Klingmeyer a run for his money but proved to have nothing left for Klingmeyer’s dominant machine. Rounding out the top five were: Sean Carman for third, Sam Wescott in fourth, and John Pursell in fifth.

Bridgeport Speedway is located off of 295 at exit 14 on Floodgate Rd in Bridgeport NJ. Parking is free on site and Family Package prices start at $30 and include 2 child admission tickets, 2 adult admission tickets, 4 hot dogs, and 4 sodas.
