A crowd of 5,000 fans witnessed Billy Decker taking the checkered flag at the Miller Lite International Super DIRT Modified race at the Cornwall Motor Speedway on Sunday, July 11th. It was an up and down race for the Unadilla, New York driver after he started the big block modified feature on the pole but had to go to the back when he came up with a flat on lap 27, forcing him into the pits. Decker worked his #91 car back into the lead on lap 70 but not before he and the 27j of Danny Johnson waged war for the top spot for no less than 19 laps. Johnson's luck ran out when Decker took over the lead with a move to the low side heading into turn 4. Johnson came together with another car and ended up with a flat, forcing him to the pits. The race marked the first of three straight nights of action for the big block Modifieds.

Drummondville, Quebec plays host to the 2nd on Monday while Granby, Quebec will wrap up the Canadian Triple Crown on Tuesday. If Decker can win at both Drummondville and Granby, he'll pick up $15,000, in addition to pocketing the $8,000 plus in regular prize money for each win.
