Feder Three Wheels to Victory; Meyers and Bauman Collect Wins; Harkabusic Takes Autism Awareness Bus Race Title

Sarver, PA (June 11, 2019) Matt Feder has seemingly mastered the art of winning Enduros at The Action Track in recent years. And on Tuesday night, he delivered another remarkable performance as he lost a lead to a hard charging Paul Crynock only to get it back and suffer a disintegrating right rear in the final 10 laps and used up every bit of his two lap lead on Pete Blasak in capturing his third victory in his past four attempts.

The fast running Joe Campbell set the pace early on until a multi-car pileup in turn three halted the action. When racing resumed, Campbell picked up where he left off, but was in the process of being hunted by Feder. Campbell retired on lap 25 leaving Feder in charge. Hunting Feder was 2019 Steel City Stampede Enduro champion Jack Crynock who successfully made a pass for the lead on lap 71. Feder kept Crynock in his sights and as he began to find a way to draw door to door on lap 85, Crynock slowed and then retired giving the lead back to Feder.

Shortly afterwards, Feder had a new challenger in the manner of his car which had lost a right rear tire and looked to be having other issues after some contact with other cars. Feder managed to wrestle his ill handling car around the speedway for 10 more circuits while Blasak erased a lap off his two lap deficit and was primed to inherit the lead if Feder’s car failed. However, Feder managed what capabilities his car had left extremely well to preserve the $1,000 victory.

In the Inaugural Dougie Tomson Autism Awareness Bus Race, Jerry Harkabusic was able to hold off an oncoming Joey Peluso to take the win in the six lap race. The field of six drivers were comprised of individuals who had purchased raffle tickets for a chance to win a spot in the field. All proceeds went to the Autism Society of Pittsburgh as part of Autism Awareness night on May 31 which raised over $5,400.

The School Buses were in their full glory on Tuesday night as Jace Myers took a hard fought win in the Modified Bus Race while Dan Bauman took the honors in the Stock Bus Race. Annette Iarrapino managed to take her first career feature win in the Powder Puff Bus Race. And on the carnage side of the fence, Brad Gamble found himself in Terry Bowser Excavating Victory Lane after winning the Trailer Race while Joe Janicky outlasted the competition in the Demolition Derby.

Action returns to The Action Track this Friday night with the Fab4 Revved up with Marburger taking the clay on Mid Season Championship Night which will feature the Chad McCutcheon Memorial including increased purses and special bonuses in all divisions.
