By Admin on Sunday, June 06, 2004 - 3:09 pm: Edit Post

FULTON, NY...Tim Fuller won his first Fulton Speedway DIRT Big Block Modified feature of the season Saturday on Budweiser Beer Night. Fuller came flying through the field from the eighth starting position and took the lead away from Vinnie Vitale on lap eight. Once in front Fuller never made a mistake and claimed the $2,000 winners share of the 35-lap event in the B&F General Machine sponsored DIRT Modified.

Dave Rauscher raced out to the early lead at the start of the Budweiser DIRT Big Block Modified feature from the pole starting position. Rauscher would only lead the opening circuit. Vinnie Vitale took the top spot away from Rauscher on lap two. With five laps complete Vitale continued to lead and was being followed in the top five by Fuller, Pat Ward, Rauscher and Jeff Rudalavage.

Fuller became the third leader of the event on lap eight when he powered by Vitale. At the halfway point Fuller was being chased by Rudalavage, Vitale, Ward and Alan Johnson. Scott Prentice, Billy Decker, Jimmy Phelps, Matt Sheppard and Tom Sears raced in positions sixth through tenth at the halfway mark.

In the final half of the event Fuller was able to maintain his lead as the race went the final 23-laps without a caution period.
