Chad Enjoys Merrittville Run THOROLD, ONT

Chad Brachmann of North Tonawanda, N.Y., raced to his second win of the season in last Saturday night's 35-lap DIRT 358-Modified feature at Merrittville Speedway. Brachmann, a rookie in the headline division after a successful Sportsman career, grabbed the lead on lap 10 and never looked back in his Bicknell No. 3. Rick Richner finished second, followed by Scott Wood, Pete Bicknell, who was involved in an early wreck, and Brian Stevens.

Several tangles dotted the race's early stages. Getting the worst of the incidents was recent feature winner Todd Gordon. whose car had to be cradled off the track. Chad Chevalier and Adam Ferri split top honors in the evening's pair of 25-lap DIRT Sportsman features.

Chevalier's victory was his first-ever at Merrittville while Ferri scored his second triumph of the season. Other winners included Peter Reid, who recorded his second straight Street Stock victory; Wayne Robins in the Dwarf Cars; and Butch Zimmerman in the Pro-Stocks.
