Scarborough Gets Vic Spot With Win

BRADFORD, VT - Don Scarborough won Saturday night's 358-Modified feature at Bear Ridge Speedway.

The victory was also impor tant in that it was a qualifier for the prestigious Victoria 200 at N. Y.'s Fulton Speedway on September 30.

Gary Siemons, who won the night before at Canaan Speedway, was looking for a weekend sweep as he led the early stages. But by lap 15, Scarborough was in command.

A close duel took place behind him for runner up hon ors, with Dan Douville emerg ing as the second place finisher. Last week's winner Chris Donnelly was third, ahead of Paul Parker and Randy Howe.

Louis Cadwell won the Sportsman Coupe main, lead ing Mike Gendron, Doug Titus, Adam Pierson and Earl Maxham Jr. to victory.

Also taking victories were Dean Switser Jr. (Fast Fours) and Bryan King (Pro-Streets).
