Stine Shines Brightest In Hidden Valley Feature
CLEARFIELD, PA - John Stine of Williamsport, Pa., cap tured last Saturday-night's 25 lap dirt Late Model feature at Hidden Valley Speedway.
Darrell Rhine of Annville, Pa., meanwhile, won the 20-lap small-block Modified main.
Stine took the lead at the start of the Late Model event and never looked back. He held off the late-race challenges of Duane Stiner to record his first ever victory at Hidden Valley.
Stiner settled for second, fol lowed by Kevin Lindemuth, Luke Hoffner and George Fultz.
Heat wins went to Jason Witherite, Stine and Bobby Stokes.
Rhine's victory was a carbon
copy of Stine's. He led from
flag-to-flag to score his first
career win at the track.
Faye Lumadue finished sec ond, followed by Spencer Husted, George Sankey and Scott Smith.
Other winners were Cody Schultz in the Street Stocks, Chris Farrell in the Four Cylinders and Shawn Lamoreau in the Pure Stocks.
The first pure stock heat was haltedafter Ernie Maines Sr. and Craig Bainey were involved in a hard crash on the backstretch. Bainey had to be cut from the car and was taken to Clearfield Hospital with
neck and back pain. No further information was available at press time.
