Cormier Earns Fulton Outlaw 200 Spot At The Ridge

Fultonville, NY – Coming into the 2023 season opener on May 7th Corey Cormier had very few laps at The Ridge…if any. Fast forward to the end of May and he is now in the record books as a feature winner.

Cormier picked up the win Sunday night in the Red Chair DIRTcar 358 Modified feature event. His first career win at The Ridge also earned him a guaranteed starting spot for the Outlaw 200 at the Fulton Speedway this fall.

Cormier picked up the win over Shaun Shaw, current points leader Lance Willix, Jordan McCreadie and Garrett Poland.

Cody Ochs would bring home the Classic Muscle Parts DIRTcar Sportsman feature event win. The win was his first of the season. Defending track champion Andrew Buff finished second with Ricky Quick third, Tony Farone fourth and Butchie Irwin fifth.

Luke Horning won the Yurkewecz Auto Crushers DIRTcar Pro Stock feature event. Horning remains perfect for the season at The Ridge. Slater Baker finished second with Shawn Perez, Jr. third, Steve Cosselman fourth and Chuck McSpirit fifth.

Other winners during the program were Tavien Blowers (Limited Sportsman), Jason Samrov (Street Stocks), Damian Ward and Daniel Joubert (Leatherstocking Credit Union DIRTcar Mini Stocks), A.J. Albreada (Northeast Paving & Sealcoat All-Star Slingshots) and Bodie Marks (Northeast Paving & Sealcoat Junior Slingshots).

The GR Live/LaGrange Media Podcast Driver of the Week honors went to Ochs. Ochs is now eligible for the GR Live/LaGrange Media Driver of the Year Award.

The GR Live/LaGrange Media Podcast Rookie of the Week honors went to Tavien Blowers. Blowers is now eligible for the GR Live/LaGrange Media Race Fans Choice Rookie of the Year Award.

The Glen Ridge Motorsports Park is back in action this Sunday night, June 4th with the first ever visit by the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series and the Mohawk Valley Showdown 50. All weekly divisions are also on the card. The pit gates open at 3pm, front gates at 4pm with hot laps at 5:30 pm and racing at 6pm.
