Willix Wins Thriller At The Ridge

Fultonville, NY – Sunday night at the Glen Ridge Motorsports Park Lance Willix proved that patience definitely pays off. The Theresa, New York veteran campaigner picked up the win in the nights DIRTcar 358 Modified feature event and did so after running in the second position for most of the event.
Current points leader Jordan McCreadie took control of the race lead early on and held the top spot until a flat right rear tire brought him to a stop in turn one. On the restart Bill August would take over the lead. August held off Willix for nearly 20 laps before giving way to the north country driver.
On the final lap Willix had troubles with a lapped car which allowed August to get along side. The duo battled to the checkers with Willix narrowly holding on for the win. August finished second with Brian Calabrese third, McCreadie fourth and C.J. Castelletti fifth.

Luke Horning won the Yurkewecz Auto Crushers DIRTcar Pro Stock feature event. The win came over Ivan Joslin, Chuck McSpirit, Slater Baker and Richard Spencer.
In other action, Zach Graham won the Limited Sportsman feature event over Kirsten Swartz and James Hinman, Jr., while Jason Samrov (Street Stock), Danny Ballard (NPS All-Star Slingshot) and Bodie Marks (NPS Junior Slingshot) were also victorious. The Leatherstocking Credit Union DIRTcar Mini Stock features went to Jay Ingersoll (Dual Cam/Overall) and Bruce Liddle (Single Cam).
The Glen Ridge Motorsports Park is back in action this Sunday night, August 27th with all weekly divisions in action. The DIRTcar Pro Stock Series will also be on the card. The pit gates open at 3pm, front gates at 4pm with hot laps at 5:30 pm and racing at 6pm.
