🏆FLICK, RUDOLPH, MYERS AND WHITLING PREVAIL AT TRI CITY RACEWAY PARK🏆

(Franklin, PA June 9, 2024): A brief rain delay before feature time created a lightening fast track for the Krill Recycling 410 Sprint Cars. A.J. Flick went wire to wire to record his second victory of the weekend and second this season at Tri City Raceway Park. Erick Rudolph snapped the winning streak of Chad Reitz in the 21st Century Energy Group 358 Modifieds. Picking up the first win of the season in the 4 Your Car Connection RUSH Sprint Cars was Blaze Myers. Taking the final checkered flag of the night was Bobby Whitling in the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks.

The two prior winners, A.J. Flick and Bob Felmlee, were on the front row for the twenty-five lap affair run under the Krill Recycling banner. Behind them were Andy Cavanaugh and Jeremy Weaver. Bodey McClintock lined up fifth after spending all night repairing crash damage sustained at another area track. Next to him was Gale Ruth, Jr. John Jerich and Michael Bauer made up row four. The fifth consisted of Cameron Nastasi and Aaron Murano.

Flick slid across turn four to take the early lead over Weaver, Felmlee, Ruth, Cavanaugh, and Bauer. Flick built upon his lead through the first eleven laps. The only caution came out on the circuit for Ruth, who coasted to a stop in turn four.

Flick took off again when the race resumes. The last fourteen laps were completed without incident. Weaver and Felmlee were next across the line. Bauer and Cavanaugh completed the top five. Jerich and McClintock were the final two finishers. Nasatasi, Ruth and Murano did not finish.

The heat race winners in the Krill Recycling 410 Sprint Cars were Jeremey Weaver and A.J. Flick. There was no B Main.

In the 21st Century Energy Group 358 Modifieds, Kyle Fink and Jimmy Holden held the front row starting spots. Erick Rudolph and Eric Beggs were in row two, with Hayden Holden and Chad Reitz in row three. The fourth row belonged to Eric Gabany, who was subbing for Steve Slater, and Brandon Ritchey. Jessica Kriegisch and Lenny Liebold, III were next. Frank Guidace and his daughter, Makayla Shannon were in row six.

Fink blasted into the lead on the opening lap, but Rudolph was stalking him immediately. Coming off turn two on lap three, Rudolph rode the outside line to grab the lead, which he never relinquished. Jimmy Holden, Hayden Holden, and Gabany fell into line behind them.

A couple of cautions slowed the pace in the middle of the race, but Rudolph was able to fight off the challenges of Fink on the pair of restarts. Soon thereafter, Jimmy Holden retired from the race with a smoking engine, handing third over to Reitz. Kriegisch and Ritchey were running in the top five.

Rudolph sailed to the win, overcoming an oil leak from his heat race. Fink was second, with Reitz, Kriegisch, and Ritchey in the top five. Beggs, Guidace, Shannon, Troy McGregor, and Jimmy Holden made up the balance of the top ten.

The 21st Century Energy Group heat winners were Rudolph and Fink for the 358 Modifieds. There was no B Main.

Jammin’ John Mollick and Blaze Myers shared the first row for the 4 Your Car Connection RUSH Sprints. Joe Buccola and Brent Rhebergen were in the second row. Arnie Kent and Ricky Tucker, III, were paired up in the third row. The fourth had Billy Myers and Zack Wilson. The fifth row consisted of Luke Mullichak and Charles McClintock. In row six were Tyler Clark and Logen Lockhart.

Myers took off at the drop of the green, with Mollick giving chase. Buccola, Kent, and Rhebergen followed.

The race went non-stop, with Blaze Myers getting the win over Mollick, Buccola, Kent, and Rhebergen.Tucker, Wilson, Billy Myers. Mullichak, and Lockhart rounded out the top ten.

Blaze Myers and Molloick split the heat wins for the 4 Your Car Connection RUSH Sprints.

To Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks wore the nightcap. Josh Seippel and Andrew Hammond were on row one. The second belonged to Rod Laskey and Bobbly Whitling. The third row went to Hunter Exley and Tim Bish. The fourth paired up Curtis J. Bish and Aaron Smith. The fifth had Mike Miller and Jason Kimmy. The sixth went to Pat Fielding and Randy Wyant.

Seippel was the early leader. On lap six, Hot Rod Laskey went past him. Laskey led five rounds of the Venango County oval until he got a flat rear tire after contact with another car. Bobby Whitling assumed control on the restart and he completed the final four laps without further ado.

Following Whitling across the line were Wyant, Exley, Hammond, and Fielding. The next five finishers were Russ Coyne, Mike Miller, Charlie McMillen, Kimmy, and Bish.

Bobby Whitling and Tim Bish captured their respective heat races for the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks.

Leading the way in the Marsh Heating & Cooling Heat Race Challenge is Tim Bish, with a total of four wins to his credit. There is a tie for second between A.J. Flick and Steve Slater. nearly twenty more racers have one win apiece.

On Father’s Day, it will be a Sunday Thunder program consisting of the Krill Recycling 410 Sprint Cars, the 21st Century Energy Group 358 Modifieds, the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks, and the 4 Your Car Connection RUSH Sprint Cars. Plus, there will be a make-up feature for the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks to kick off the night’s action.

Tri-City Raceway Park is located just a few miles north of Franklin, PA, at 3430 State Route 417 in Oakland Township. Professional auto racing will be presented in a family friendly atmosphere most Sunday evenings from May through Labor Day weekend.
