JON KELLNER SR. AND RANDY STOUDT ARE REPEAT WINNERS AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY ON SATURDAY NIGHT

BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 22, 2005 . . . For the second time this season Jon Kellner Sr. of Lansdale, PA was able to wheel the Hutts Glass No. 85AM Modified to victory in the 30-lap NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Auto Locator Magazine feature race on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway. And it was Randy Stoudt of Pottstown, PA driving the Rogers Auto Parts No. 22 Late Model to victory in the 20-lap NASCAR Late Model feature race for his third win of the season.
Kellner Sr. became the first Modified racer to repeat in Modified action this season. The veteran racer had to be pushed to victory lane when “something mechanical went wrong with the car” bringing it to a stop in the fourth turn on his victory lap just short of victory lane. “It is a good thing that did not happen one lap sooner,” said Kellner as he celebrated in victory lane. “The caution on the 22nd lap gave us the break to win. If the race had been run without that caution, all green laps, we could not have caught him (Terry Meitzler).”
Rich Wisdo was the early race leader but lost the top spot to former track champion Terry Meitzler on a restart after a multi car accident. Once in front Meitzler, in the Rychlik Trucking No. 712, looked as if he was clearly the man to beat. However Tom Mayberry and Ray Swinehart tangled in the second turn on the 23rd lap and on the restart Kellner Sr. was able to storm by Meitzler in the high groove. Once in front Kellner Sr. was kept busy as Craig VonDohren challenged but at the checkered flag Kellner Sr. had a few car lengths on second place VonDohren (Oley). Third went to Meitzler followed by current track champion Jeff Strunk (Bethel) coming from 14th and Keith Bright bill (Mohnton) coming from 12th.
Unofficial Doug Manmiller earned the Tom Oates Chevy of Chester Springs hard charger award coming from 27th to 13th in the feature race.
The 20-lap Late Model feature had John Giesler leading for the first four laps with Mike Wharton taking control on the fifth circuit of the one-third-mile, banked clay oval. Mike Kellner went to the front of the pack at the nine lap marker with Randy Stoudt right on his rear bumper.
At the 11 lap mark Randy Stoudt was in front of the pack and led the rest of the race. Mike Kellner (Lansdale) kept it close finishing second following by Harry Neiman (Bowers Beach, DE), Mike Wharton (Bear, DE) and Dean Schaeffer (Douglassville).
Qualifying heat races for the more than 50 Modifieds on hand went to Craig VonDohren, Jon Kellner Sr., John Willman (Birdsboro), Terry Meitzler and Keith Brightbill. The consolation events went to Danny Erb (Boyertown), Sean Merkel (Gilbertsville) and Rick Schaffer (Woxall). The Cheers Tavern Cash Dash was won by Brightbill.
In the Late Model qualifiers wins were earned by Mike Kellner, Ron Kline (Green Lane) and Randy Stoudt. The consolation race went to Sean Merkel (Gilbertsville). The Jim Brown Cash Dash was won by Mike Kellner.
All heat and consie winners earned extra money for their efforts courtesy of Auto Locator Magazine.
