Matt Sheppard brings home win on Super DIRTcar Series at Can-Am Speedway





Matt Sheppard won the 75 lap Super DIRTcar Series Thunder in the 1000 Islands at the Can-Am Speedway on Wednesday. This was Matt's ninth win of the season, first at Can-Am Speedway this year, and first Super DIRTcar Series win of the season. For the 39 year old Sheppard it was their third win putting him twenty-seventh on the Can-Am Speedway win list since 2000.
Finishing 5.4250 seconds behind in second was Stewart Friesen. This was Stewart's thirteenth Top 5 of the season, first at Can-Am Speedway this year, and second Super DIRTcar Series Top 5 of the season.
Finishing third was Tim Fuller, their fifth top 5 of the year.
Finishing fourth was Max McLaughlin, their tenth top 5 of the year.
Finishing fifth was Mat Williamson, their thirteenth top 5 of the year.
Jimmy Phelps, Erick Rudolph, Justin Haers, Jordan McCreadie, and Peter Britten rounded out the top 10.
