Matt Sheppard drives to Land of Legends Raceway win
Matt Sheppard won the 30 lap Scoppo Special at the Land of Legends Raceway on Saturday. This was Matt's tenth win of the season, first at Land of Legends Raceway this year, and fifth Weekly win of the season. For the 40 year old Sheppard it was their eighty-eighth win putting him first on the Land of Legends Raceway win list since 1997. Finishing 2.5110 seconds behind in second was Erick Rudolph. This was Erick's fourteenth Top 5 of the season, fouth at Land of Legends Raceway this year, and sixth Weekly Top 5 of the season. Finishing third was Justin Haers, their fouth top 5 of the year. Finishing fourth was Danny Johnson, their seventh top 5 of the year. Finishing fifth was Kyle Coffey, their first top 5 of the year. Alan Johnson, Peter Britten, Pat Ward, Kevin Root, and Daniel Johnson Jr. rounded out the top 10.
