Mat Williamson claims Merrittville Speedway victory
Mat Williamson won the 45 lap Brian Stevens Memorial at the Merrittville Speedway on Saturday. This was Mat's thirteenth win of the season, fifth at Merrittville Speedway this year, and eighth Weekly win of the season. For the 33 year old Williamson it was their sixty-second win putting him second on the Merrittville Speedway win list since 1997. Finishing 1.2950 seconds behind in second was Gary Lindberg. This was Gary's fouth Top 5 of the season, fouth at Merrittville Speedway this year, and third Weekly Top 5 of the season. Finishing third was Pete Bicknell, their sixth top 5 of the year. Finishing fourth was Dalton Slack, their third top 5 of the year. Finishing fifth was Ryan Susice, their seventh top 5 of the year. Fred Carleton, Boyd MacTavish, Shayne Pierce, Todd Gordon, and Brad Rouse rounded out the top 10.
