Matt Sheppard won the 30 lap Thunder on the Thruway Thunder on the Thruway at the Utica-Rome Speedway on Saturday. This was Matt's twenty-third win of the season, ninth at Utica-Rome Speedway this year, and second Thunder on the Thruway win of the season. For the 42 year old Sheppard it was their eightieth win putting him first on the Utica-Rome Speedway win list since 1996. Finishing 1.3160 seconds behind in second was Stewart Friesen. This was Stewart's thirty-fouth Top 5 of the season, fifth at Utica-Rome Speedway this year, and fouth Thunder on the Thruway Top 5 of the season.
