Matt Sheppard drives to victory at Land of Legends Raceway
Matt Sheppard won the 30 lap Regular Event at the Land of Legends Raceway on Saturday. This was Matt's nineteenth win of the season, second at Land of Legends Raceway this year, and eighth Weekly win of the season. For the 42 year old Sheppard it was their ninety-second win putting him first on the Land of Legends Raceway win list since 1996. Finishing 9.8350 seconds behind in second was Alan Johnson. This was Alan's fouth Top 5 of the season, third at Land of Legends Raceway this year, and third Weekly Top 5 of the season. Finishing third was Mat Williamson, their forty-fouth top 5 of the year. Finishing fourth was Justin Haers, their third top 5 of the year. Finishing fifth was Daniel Johnson Jr., their second top 5 of the year. Peter Britten, Alex Payne, Zach Payne, Kevin Root, and Danny Johnson rounded out the top 10.
