FULLER LEADS FINAL 89 LAPS FOR SUPER DIRT SERIES WIN AT BROCKVILLE

BROCKVILLE-Tim Fuller was not going to be denied two nights in a row. After giving up the lead in the closing laps of a Super DIRT Series event on Monday in Quebec, the Edwards NY driver made sure to be a little more aggressive in traffic. The strategy paid off as Fuller led the final 89 laps to take the Coca-Cola 100 on Tuesday night at Brockville Ontario Speedway.

Brett Hearn set fast time in time trails on the quick quarter mile coming in with a lap of 15.1 seconds however it was Todd Burley started on the pole and led the first 10 laps. Fuller then took over the top spot and was only really threatened on a couple of occasions. Pete Bicknell tracked him down just before the halfway mark, however Mr. Small Block fell back after an incident with a lapped car caused him to spin. Alan Johnson then came knocking on the door as Fuller was delayed in traffic with about 12 laps remaining. The final caution gave Fuller clear sailing the rest of the way as he scored the victory. Johnson was a second in front of Frank Cozze, Steve Paine and Bicknell who charged back through the field for fifth.

Ryan Poole took advantage when early leader Pete Stapper lost a tire and second place driver Brett Horner ran into it, damaging his car on lap 8. Poole went on to a win in the 15 lap Novice event. Jason Riemersma was second with Todd Raabe, John Simmons and Art Brown rounding out the fast five.

Brad Kirkland led from start to finish in the 15 lap Rookie stock event to finish the night. Kurtis McPhee was a distant second followed by Don Hall, Jesse Perrin and Josh Omen.
