FULLER EDGES SHEPPARD IN TREMENDOUS BATTLE IN TERRELL'S POTATO CHIPS DIRT 358 MODIFIED FEATURE AT FULTON SPEEDWAY

FULTON, NY...Tim Fuller edged Matt Sheppard in the 35-lap Terrell's Potato Chips DIRT 358 Modified feature race at Fulton Speedway last Saturday night. Fuller and Sheppard battled in an out of lapped traffic, at times four wide, to heat things up on a chilly night at the home of the Victoria 200. Fuller would claim the win, his second straight in the B&F General Machine car. Sheppard, the defending Track Champion, had to settle for second in the crowd pleasing race.

Paul Kinney raced out to the early lead at the start of the Terrell's Potato Chips DIRT 358 Modified feature from the pole starting position. Kinney would lead the opening two laps of the main event before losing the top spot to Tim Burnett. Burnett would also lead the quality feature field for two circuits. Ron White took the top spot away from Burnett on lap five.

With five laps complete White was being followed in the top five by Burnett, Jeremy Smith, Pete Taylor and Fuller. On lap 10 Fuller took the lead away from White. Fuller wasted no time in moving up from the 13th starting position to the lead. On lap 13 Sheppard moved into second from the 16th starting spot. What followed in the final 20 laps could have been the best racing ever staged at Fulton Speedway.

Sheppard took the lead away from Fuller on lap 20. Right after that the leaders started to battle in and out of lapped traffic. On two different occasions Sheppard, Fuller and two lapped cars raced four wide. The first time between the first and second turns, Sheppard held on to the lead. The second four wide move resulted in Fuller coming away with the top spot. Fuller swept around Sheppard and the lapped cars for the lead.

In the closing laps Fuller and Sheppard continued their outstanding race. Fuller earned his second straight win with Sheppard finishing second. Justin Haers had his best ever Fulton Speedway outing with a strong third place finish. Alan Johnson, the current point leader, had to settle for fourth. Opening night winner Todd Burley, completed the top five feature finishers.

McArdell was followed across the finish line by Bill Shantel Jr., Shawn Donath, Tim Clemons and Ryan Richardson. Donnie Wetmore Jr. led the first two laps of the main event. Sam Reakes IV was the leader from laps three through eight. Shantel took the top spot away from Reakes on lap nine. McArdell took the lead away from Shantel on lap 18 and went on to the feature win.

Jack Terrell led the first three laps of the feature. Jason Rood led the field the next two circuits. Clark took the lead on lap six and would hold on to it the rest of the way in the 20-lap affair.
