Ransomville, NY...A strong field of twenty-four 358 Mighty Taco Modifieds entertained fans with plenty of side by side racing last Friday night. You could have put a blanket over the top of Pete Bicknell, Chad Brachmann, Robbie Krull, and Vic Coffey as the final laps unfolded in the thirty lap affair. Bicknell held off several late race challenges by young gun Brachmann who was piloting his Original Pizza Logs sponsored machine for the win. Krull, Coffey, and Danny Johnson rounded out the top five.

Pete Bicknell

By virtue of setting fast time on practice day, Bicknell of St. Catharines, Ont sat on the pole position for the feature start and took the lead at the drop of the green. Bicknell held the top spot through five caution periods enroute to his first win of the season aboard his BRP chassis. DIRT stand-out Johnson suffered a flat tire mid-way through the race and battled back to a top five finish aboard his orange #27j.

Jeff McGinnis

Jeff McGinnis of Ransomville took the lead in his Stirling Lubricants sportsman at the drop of the green aboard the Original Pizza Logs Sportsman main event and never looked back as he led all twenty-five laps. Scott Kerwin came home second aboard his Mark Cerrone Inc./Good Guys Transmissions owned #7 followed by Scott George.George was the pole sitter but appeared to have handling problems early on as he dropped several positions at the start. George made a great run aboard his Original Pizza Logs sponsored machine to rebound to third. McGinnis lead at the get go and held on through several cautions that slowed the event. A field of sixteen was relegated to ten by the features end as many drivers suffered mechanical difficulties. Kerwin and George put on a great show for second while Kevin Wills and Rob Kott rounded out the top five.

Steve DeVos

Steve Devos of Welland, Ontario took the lead away from Dave Schulz just past

the mid-way point and led the remaining laps aboard the Bobcat of Buffalo ProStock

main event. Devos took advantage of a mis-cue by a lapped car who forced then leader Dave Schulz up the race track in turn two. Devos led a tight group of four through the final circuits with Roger Chrysler

applying heavy pressure for the top spot. Devos held on for the opening night win

followed by Chrysler, Pete Stefanski, Steve Miller, and John Panattoni.

Alex Morris of Sanborn, NY topped the Clarks Burgerhouse Streetstock fifteen

lap main event. By virtue of setting fast time in time trials, Morris sat on the pole position for the start of the feature go and led the entire fifteen lap distance. John Schultz and Wayne Close battled side by side for the runner up position with Schultz taking the spot at the line. Close, Roger Israel, and Dave Nichols rounded out the top five.
