Carl Nagel won his first feature of the year Saturday night at Thunder Mountain in the Modified division. The 40 year racing veteran moved closer to Brian Weaver who finished sixth in the points race which paid double points. Nagel was followed by Mike Clapperton in second, Mike Nagel in third, Randy Decker in fourth and Gary Smith in fifth. In other action at the Mountain, Mike Emoff of Sodus caputured the twenty lap Central New York Mini-Sprint feature over Bobby Zwart of Bullville and Scott Hoose of Watkins Glen. Other winners on this double point night included Ron Flannery in the Street Stocks, Robert Rounsville in the Pure Stocks, Bruce Detro in the Four Cylinder Modifieds, Harold Humphrey in the Four Cylinder Stocks, Cliff Pierce in the Dwarf Cars and finally Chad Dedricksen won the Amatuer feature. Thunder Mountain runs a eight class weekly show every Saturday night and it starts at six p.m. The track is located on route 79 in Center Lisle, New York.
