Brian Weaver won his second Modified feature of the year in convincing style by leading all thirty laps and setting a torrid pace throughout the event. George Hoffmier Jr Jr. was a distant second followed by Doug Worthing, Paul Jensen and Mike Clapperton. The Woodard Concrete, Fink Auto Transport and D&H; Motorsports Central New York Mini-Sprint Tour was on hand for it's igauguarl appearance of 1998 and Bobby Zwart of Bullville easily won the feature event. Second was Blase Regina followed by Marc Lapan, Ed Warren and Hank Katz. Ron Flannery won his fourth Street Stock feature in six tries. He was followed by Don Newell Jr. and Herm Slack. John Payne took the measure of the 23 car Pure Stock field followed by Craig Krantz and Tim Davey. Harold Humphrey was his carer first in the Four Cylinder Stock event. He was chased by Scott Johnson and Jeff McKinney. Ken Taylor made five out of six inthe 4 Cylinder Mods over Bruce Detro and Lee Dewitt. Brian Terrell also won his first Dwarf Car feature of the year over Chad and Mark Cook and first time racer Ralph Lookwood handily won the Amatuer event as four time winner Mark Hoffmier moved into the Street Stocks. Next week will be a regular show of Mods, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, 4 Cylinder Mods, Four Cylinder Stocks, Swarf Cars, Amatuers and Mini-Sprints. Gates open at 3:00 p.m. with the first race scheduled to at 6:00 p.m.
