Brian Weaver took his third Modified feature event of the season in the thirty lap double point spring championship. Weaver took the lead from defending champion Carl Nagel with five to go and strecthed out his lead over the last five lasp to win by a comfortable margin. Weaver took over the point lead from Mitch Gibbs who had atough night with accidents and finished twelfth. Nagel took home second followed by Mike Schane, Mike Nagel and George Hoffmier Jr. in the top five spots. Sixth thru tenth went to John Guernsey, Mike Colsten, Doug Worthing, Randy Decker and aul Jensen.
The Street Stock feature went to Don Newell Jr. but he failed post race tech and the win was given to Scott Conover. Second was Brent Wilcox and third was Herm Slack. Rounding out the top five was Charlie Folton.
Tim Davey scored his first career win in the 15 lap flag to flag Pure Stock event. He was followed by Robert Rounsville, Mike Wilbur, Craig Krantz and Jim Giles.
The Dwarf Cars also went fifteen laps and the win went to second generation driver Frank Doll Jr. He was chased home by Brian Terrell and the father and son team of Mark and Chad Cook while fifth went to point leader Cliff Pierce.
The 4 Cylinder Mods went to Ken Taylor for the sixth time in seven events. Bruce Detro was second followed by George Howe, Mike Payne and Chet Carr.
The 4 Cylinder Stock event went to Bill Rampe for the first time in 1998. He was chased home by last week's winner Harold Humphrey. Third thru fifth went to Brian Payne, Jeff McKinney and Jeff Wilcox.
Rounding out the night's action was the Amatuer feature which went to Frank Mills over Wayne Walker and Paul Lockwood while the Mini Sprint event went to Dave Epping followed by Dave DiSimone and Brian Horne.
Next wek's car will feature the Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars, 4 Cylinder Modifieds, Four Cylinder Stocks, Amstuers and Mini-Sprints. Gates open at 3:00 while the action is scheduled to start at 6:00
