Danny Johnson Victorious at CCFS

Danny Johnson won the Feature Event at Cayuga County Fair Speedway for the second week in a row.

At the drop of the green, Bill Decker, took the lead from his outside pole position. On lap 2, Steve Paine grabbed the ad- vantage by ducking low around Decker. But a double caution on lap 4 left Dave Lape an opening to take the lead, a lead that he held for the next eleven laps. As Lape looked toward the victory, Danny worked the high side of the track, working towards Lape. On lap 16, Billy Decker went over the 1st turn bank, just as Danny went around Lape for the lead.

Danny maintained the lead for the remainder of the feature. On lap 19, Bobby Paine went over the third turn bank again bringing out the yellow. On the restart, Bob McCreadie was penalized two spots for jumping the green. At the finish it was Danny Johnson, Dave Lape, Alan Johnson, and Jack John- son.

In the 15 lap Sportsman race, Stu Sheppard grabbed the lead from Steve Schultz and held on for the win.

In the special mini-mod action, Gary Stage took the lead on lap eleven of the twelve lap feature. The early leader, Dale

Plank held on for second.

This week find the Cayuga County Fair Speedway turn up the wick as it prepares for the County Fair, July 21-26. This Sunday is GP Communication and National Auto Supply Night, featuring modifieds and the National Auto Supply Qualifier for the 320-358 modifieds. Also on the race card are the DIRT Sportsman.

On July 21, the Aplus-Skoal Bandit Racing (SM) Super DIRT Series '87, CLM Lubicants Winner's Classic Qualifier stops at CCFS. All of the top drivers will be vying for the half-way point money.
