Stewart Friesen charges to victory lane on Short Track Super Series at Georgetown Speedway
Stewart Friesen won the 49 lap Short Track Super Series Melvin L. Joseph Memorial at the Georgetown Speedway on Saturday. This was Stewart's second win of the season, first at Georgetown Speedway this year, and first Short Track Super Series win of the season. For the 35 year old Friesen it was their fifth win putting him fouth on the Georgetown Speedway win list since 2006. Finishing 0.6870 seconds behind in second was Matt Sheppard. This was Matt's third Top 5 of the season, first at Georgetown Speedway this year, and first Short Track Super Series Top 5 of the season. Finishing third was Ryan Watt, their first top 5 of the year. Finishing fourth was Billy Pauch Jr., their first top 5 of the year. Finishing fifth was Jordan Watson, their first top 5 of the year. Jeff Strunk, Duane Howard, Craig VonDohren, David VanHorn Jr., and Alex Yankowski rounded out the top 10.
