Matt Sheppard won the 100 lap Super DIRTcar Series Thunder in the Thousand Islands 100 at the Can-Am Speedway on Saturday. This was Matt's fouth win of the season, first at Can-Am Speedway this year, and first Super DIRTcar Series win of the season. For the 36 year old Sheppard it was their second win putting him twenty-fifth on the Can-Am Speedway win list since 2004. Finishing in second was Mat Williamson. This was Mat's second Top 5 of the season, first at Can-Am Speedway this year, and first Super DIRTcar Series Top 5 of the season. Finishing third was Billy Dunn, their first top 5 of the year. Finishing fourth was Justin Haers, their second top 5 of the year. Finishing fifth was Pat Ward, their third top 5 of the year. Larry Wight, Ryan Watt, Mike Mahaney, Ryan Godown, and Mike Maresca rounded out the top 10.
