Mat Williamson shines on Short Track Super Series Elite at Georgetown Speedway





Mat Williamson won the 40 lap Short Track Super Series Elite Melvin L. Joseph Memorial at the Georgetown Speedway on Saturday. This was Mat's twenty-ninth win of the season, first at Georgetown Speedway this year, and first Short Track Super Series Elite win of the season. For the 32 year old Williamson it was their first win putting him Twentieth on the Georgetown Speedway win list since 2000.
Finishing 0.7720 seconds behind in second was Matt Sheppard. This was Matt's seventy-first Top 5 of the season, third at Georgetown Speedway this year, and fifth Short Track Super Series Elite Top 5 of the season.
Finishing third was Stewart Friesen, their forty-second top 5 of the year.
Finishing fourth was Ryan Godown, their thirtieth top 5 of the year.
Finishing fifth was Max McLaughlin, their thirty-second top 5 of the year.
