Matt Sheppard lands in Thunder on the Thruway victory lane at Utica-Rome Speedway

Matt Sheppard won the 30 lap Thunder on the Thruway Thunder on the Thruway at the Utica-Rome Speedway on Friday. This was Matt's thirteenth win of the season, fouth at Utica-Rome Speedway this year, and first Thunder on the Thruway win of the season. For the 39 year old Sheppard it was their fifty-second win putting him second on the Utica-Rome Speedway win list since 2000.
Finishing 9.9940 seconds behind in second was Alex Yankowski. This was Alex's sixth Top 5 of the season, second at Utica-Rome Speedway this year, and first Thunder on the Thruway Top 5 of the season.
Finishing third was Alan Johnson, their second top 5 of the year.
Finishing fourth was Pat Ward, their second top 5 of the year.
Finishing fifth was Andy Bachetti, their tenth top 5 of the year.
Ronnie Johnson, Dave Marcuccilli, Jessica Friesen, Billy Decker, and Shaun Walker rounded out the top 10.
