Matt Sheppard comes away with win at Utica-Rome Speedway
Matt Sheppard won the 30 lap Regular Event at the Utica-Rome Speedway on Friday. This was Matt's fifteenth win of the season, sixth at Utica-Rome Speedway this year, and eighth Weekly win of the season. For the 41 year old Sheppard it was their sixty-sixth win putting him first on the Utica-Rome Speedway win list since 1996. Finishing 4.5020 seconds behind in second was Willy Decker. This was Willy's third Top 5 of the season, third at Utica-Rome Speedway this year, and first Weekly Top 5 of the season. Finishing third was Billy Decker, their ninth top 5 of the year. Finishing fourth was Justin Wright, their second top 5 of the year. Finishing fifth was Andy Bachetti, their seventeenth top 5 of the year. Alex Yankowski, Alan Barker, Pat Ward, Tanner VanDoren, and Mike Trautschold rounded out the top 10.
