Stewart Friesen reaches Thunder on the Thruway victory lane at Fonda Speedway
Stewart Friesen won the 30 lap Thunder on the Thruway Dave Lape Memorial at the Fonda Speedway on Saturday. This was Stewart's third win of the season, second at Fonda Speedway this year, and first Thunder on the Thruway win of the season. For the 39 year old Friesen it was their eighty-eighth win putting him first on the Fonda Speedway win list since 1997. Finishing 2.1790 seconds behind in second was Matt DeLorenzo. This was Matt's seventh Top 5 of the season, second at Fonda Speedway this year, and first Thunder on the Thruway Top 5 of the season. Finishing third was Demetrios Drellos, their ninth top 5 of the year. Finishing fourth was Jack Lehner, their fifth top 5 of the year. Finishing fifth was Rocky Warner, their fouth top 5 of the year. David Schilling, Jessica Friesen, Matt Sheppard, Bobby Hackel IV, and Josh Hohenforst rounded out the top 10.
