Stewart Friesen earns checkers on Super DIRTcar Series at Weedsport Speedway
Stewart Friesen won the 100 lap Super DIRTcar Series Hall of Fame Classic at the Weedsport Speedway on Sunday. This was Stewart's fifteenth win of the season, first at Weedsport Speedway this year, and second Super DIRTcar Series win of the season. For the 40 year old Friesen it was their eighth win putting him twelfth on the Weedsport Speedway win list since 1996. Finishing 2.6990 seconds behind in second was Jimmy Phelps. This was Jimmy's fifteenth Top 5 of the season, third at Weedsport Speedway this year, and third Super DIRTcar Series Top 5 of the season. Finishing third was Anthony Perrego, their twenty-second top 5 of the year. Finishing fourth was Erick Rudolph, their twenty-sixth top 5 of the year. Finishing fifth was Tim Sears Jr., their seventeenth top 5 of the year. Peter Britten, Darren Smith, Jack Lehner, Matt Sheppard, and Dave Marcuccilli rounded out the top 10.
