Matt Sheppard shines at Utica-Rome Speedway





Matt Sheppard won the 50 lap Short Track SuperNationals at the Utica-Rome Speedway on Saturday. This was Matt's thirtieth win of the season, thirteenth at Utica-Rome Speedway this year, and third Non-series win of the season. For the 42 year old Sheppard it was their eighty-fouth win putting him first on the Utica-Rome Speedway win list since 1996.
Finishing 0.6790 seconds behind in second was Stewart Friesen. This was Stewart's thirty-seventh Top 5 of the season, sixth at Utica-Rome Speedway this year, and fouth Non-series Top 5 of the season.
Finishing third was Tim Fuller, their thirty-fifth top 5 of the year.
Finishing fourth was Marc Johnson, their thirty-first top 5 of the year.
Finishing fifth was Mike Mahaney, their twenty-fifth top 5 of the year.
Jack Lehner, Michael Maresca, Willy Decker, Tanner VanDoren, and Danny Varin rounded out the top 10.
