Matt Sheppard reaches Thunder on the Thruway victory lane at Utica-Rome Speedway

Matt Sheppard won the 30 lap Thunder on the Thruway Thunder on the Thruway at the Utica-Rome Speedway on Friday. This was Matt's eleventh win of the season, fouth at Utica-Rome Speedway this year, and first Thunder on the Thruway win of the season. For the 41 year old Sheppard it was their seventy-fifth win putting him first on the Utica-Rome Speedway win list since 1996.
Finishing 5.9270 seconds behind in second was Rocky Warner. This was Rocky's fifth Top 5 of the season, fifth at Utica-Rome Speedway this year, and first Thunder on the Thruway Top 5 of the season.
Finishing third was Jessica Friesen, their first top 5 of the year.
Finishing fourth was Pat Ward, their second top 5 of the year.
Finishing fifth was Michael Maresca, their eighth top 5 of the year.
Alex Yankowski, Billy Decker, Anthony Perrego, Alan Barker, and Dave Constantino rounded out the top 10.
