Rusty Smith charges to victory lane at Afton Fairgrounds Speedway

Rusty Smith won the 35 lap Regular Event at the Afton Fairgrounds Speedway on Friday. This was Rusty's third win of the season, third at Afton Fairgrounds Speedway this year, and third Weekly win of the season. For the 46 year old Smith it was their eighth win putting him fifteenth on the Afton Fairgrounds Speedway win list since 1996.
Finishing 1.2330 seconds behind in second was Jimmy Zacharias. This was Jimmy's fouth Top 5 of the season, first at Afton Fairgrounds Speedway this year, and fouth Weekly Top 5 of the season.
Finishing third was Nick Nye, their fifth top 5 of the year.
Finishing fourth was Corey Cormier, their seventh top 5 of the year.
Finishing fifth was Dennis Clapperton, their fouth top 5 of the year.
Doug Polhamus, Matt Sobiech, J.R. Hurlburt, Derek Cornish, and Matt Latwinski rounded out the top 10.
