TIM McCREADIE POWERS TO DIRT MODIFIED FEATURE WIN ON BEACHY’S EQUIPMENT/TORO ZERO TURN MOWER NIGHT

BREWERTON, NY…Tim McCreadie powered his way to his first DIRT Modified feature win of the season at Brewerton Speedway last Friday on Beachy’s Equipment/Toro Zero Turn Mower Night. The second-generation driver from Watertown, N.Y. came from the 13th starting position to the lead in 11 laps. McCreadie’s charge to the front included several three-wide moves.

Ryan Baye raced out to the early lead at the start of the Beachy’s Equipment/Toro Zero Turn Mower DIRT Modified feature from the outside pole starting position. Baye set a fast pace from the start on the tacky and smooth track. After five circuits Baye was being followed in the top five by Pat Ward, Jason Barney, Frankie Caprara and Jimmy Phelps.

Baye would lead the first 10 laps of the main event. It was on lap 11 when Tim McCreadie took the top spot away from Baye. At the halfway point of the main event McCreadie continued to lead with Tim Fuller, Phelps, Caprara and Chuck Hebing following in the top five. Bob McCreadie, Ward, Alan Johnson, Billy Decker and Tom Sears raced in positions sixth through tenth respectively at this stage of the race.

In the last half of the race Fuller was able to stay right with Tim McCreadie, but he was never able to slip past. Tim McCreadie went on to his first feature win of the season at the D-shaped DIRT Demon in the John Finch owned DIRT Modified. Fuller had to settle for second. Johnson recovered from an early race tangle to finish third. Hebing came from the 19th starting spot to finish fourth, while opening night feature winner Bower completed the top five.

Ron Root won his first ever IMCA Modified feature race at Brewerton Speedway last Friday night. Root won out over Mike Chilson, George Valenti, Jeff Cardinale and Joe Price. Bill Anderson Jr. led the opening lap of the main event. Root took the lead on lap two and he held on to the top spot the rest of the distance in the 20-lap event.

Tod Simons claimed his first Dwarf Car feature win of the season last Friday night. Eric Daddora, Darren Forbes, Steve Miller and Shawn Hort followed Simons across the finish line. Simons led the entire 20-lap distance from the outside pole starting position.

John West was another first-time feature winner last Friday night. West claimed the win in the 15-lap Four Cylinder Stock feature. Chris Torbitt, Harvey Calkins Jr., Russ Cusson and Jeremy Bargabos completed the top five feature finishers. Torbitt led the opening five laps of the feature. West took command and led the rest of the way.
