FULLER CLAIMS SECOND WIN OF THE SEASON ON A&P AUTO PARTS NIGHT

BREWERTON, NY…Tim Fuller claimed his second win of the season at Brewerton Speedway last Friday on A&P Auto Parts Night. Fuller took the lead away from Bob McCreadie on lap 10 and held off all challengers the rest of the way for the victory in the 35-lap event. The win for the Edwards, N.Y. driver in the B&F General Machine DIRT Modified was worth $1,700.

Bob Holland raced out to the early lead at the start of the A&P Auto Parts DIRT Modified feature from the pole starting position. Holland would lead the first two circuits of the main event. Bob McCreadie took the top spot away from Holland on lap three. With five laps complete McCreadie continued to lead and was being followed in the top five by Holland, Jimmy Phelps, Chuck Hebing and Pat Ward.

Bob McCreadie was looking for his 300th career DIRT Big Block Modified feature win on this night. The milestone victory was not meant to be as Fuller took the top spot away on lap 10. At the halfway mark of the main event Fuller continued to lead and was being chased in the top five by Bob McCreadie, Hebing, Alan Johnson and Tim McCreadie. At times Fuller was able to open up his lead, with plenty of side-by-side action for the positions following.

Alan Johnson moved into second spot on lap 20. On this occasion the five-time feature winner had to settle for the second position as Fuller claimed the convincing win. It was his second win in the last three main events. Tim McCreadie worked up to a third place finish. Billy Decker recovered from two early pit stops to finish fourth. Hebing completed the top five feature finishers.

Mike Chilson was the winner of the Empire State Series race for IMCA Modifieds. Billy Dunn, Bill Anderson Sr., Sean Lias and Pete Neff completed the top five feature finishers behind Chilson. The victory was Chilson’s second of the season. Chilson took the lead away from Anderson on lap-15 and led the rest of the distance in the 25-lap affair.

Tod Simons won his fifth Dwarf Car feature race of the season last Friday night. Dan Williams, Tim Burdick, Kevin Doll and Lowell Zehr completed the top five feature finishers behind Simons. On lap 18 Simons took the top spot away from Williams and he would lead the rest of the way in the 20-lap contest.

Tim Koch won his second Four Cylinder Stock feature race of the season last Friday night. Roger West, Rick Angle, Jeremy Bargabos and Harvey Calkins Jr. completed the top five feature finishers behind Koch. Koch took the lead away from Roger Olschewske on lap three and led the rest of the way in the 15-lap affair.

Racing will continue this Friday at Brewerton Speedway with the DIRT Big Block Modifieds, IMCA Modifieds, Dwarf Cars, Four Cylinder Stocks and Four Cylinder Enduro cars all in action. A Paper Bag Race will also be contested. Action will start at 7:30 p.m. For more information please contact the track office at (315) 668-6906 or go on line to www.brewertonspeedway.com.
