Dave Gee, Dan Gordon, and Brian Knowles seemed to have their own battle for second spot.Gordon and Gee exchanged spots several times with Knowles eager to pounce if given the chance. These racers stayed this way through out the event as well. Good racing in the mid pack as Jerry Buckley, Ron Divens, Rod Mullen fought for seventh. But when it was all said and done, Willliams was the car to beat. This was William's third victory this season in the Morgan's Auto Repair Street Stock class.Gee and Gordon made it exciting at the end with door to door action to take second. Gee managed to hold that spot with Gordon third. 20 laps was the distance for the Napa Super Stocks as Mark Costa leads the field for the green flag.Mick Seeley powers around Costa for top spot early on., and several laps later has managed to get a substantial lead on the rest of the field. While Seeley maintains the lead, seventh starter Mike Hilfiger and Costa have broken away some and are racing each other for second spot. Side by side battles throughout the pack and no one wants to give an inch. Halfway home, Hilfiger blows a tire and brings out the caution. Seeley does pull away on the restart, but Glen Writenour is closing fast as he swings around Costa for second. With seven laps to go, Writenour takes the lead from Seeley to post his 3rd win of this 2005 season. Seeley almost had his first win of the year and of this divison as he comes in second. Greg Galligan made a great run from eleventh to finish third. Mark Costa held on to fourth and Alan Crooker crossed the finish line for fifth position.

The Signs Plus Of Kanona Mini Stocks took to the track for their 20 lap event. It’s amazing to see these 4 cylinders run the high banks at Woodhull. These drivers are fearless when it comes to side by side racing.Todd Dickerson led the field around to take the green flag, but that lead soon disappears as three and four wide racing starts almost immediately. Corky Grant started in eighth spot, but after four laps, finds himself in contention to challenge for the lead. Art Goodier made a tremendous stride to the front. Halfway through the event, Goodier, who started 18th out of 22 cars, sits in 10th spot. Oh and by the way, these drivers weren’t satisfied with running side by side 3 or 4 abreast, how about SIX ?? Coming off turn 4 with Grant leading the field, cars were six deep jockeying for position. Grant crosses the finish about 10 cars lengths ahead of fifth place starter, Lynn Burrell. Points leader Ryan Davenport takes third as Goodier and Dickerson round out the top five.
