TIM MCCREADIE SCORES SECOND THUNDER ALLEY WIN

EVANS MILLS, NY.....Tim McCreadie came out on the winning end of a battle with teammate Vic Coffey to earn the win in Thursday's Budweiser-sponsored program at Caprara's Thunder Alley Speedpark. Lance Willix picked up the win in the Sportsman, while Chris Taylor grabbed honors in the IMCA Modifieds, Dave Pope was awarded the Pure Stock win, and Taylor Caprara took the Junior Modified Lite feature.

Teammates McCreadie and Coffey started on the front row of the 30-lap DIRT Modified feature event and traded the lead back and forth several times during the event while Steve Paine and Dale Planck battled for third and fourth. Both lanes of the track were strong, with McCreadie and Coffey working both the high and low lanes in a terrific side by side battle in and out of traffic.

McCreadie was able to pull away at race's end to score the win over Coffey, with Paine, Planck and Alan Johnson trailing.

The 20-lap DIRT Sportsman feature began with Chad Phelps and Greg Doust battling for the lead while Shawn Donath, in a borrowed ride, was riding the high lane towards the front of the field. Lance Willix was also using the high groove and stormed into the lead before the halfway point and pulled away for the win over Phelps, Doust, Donath, and Jim Kite.

The 20-lap IMCA Modified feature started with Neal Edgar battling for the lead with Dale Caswell and others until a tangle between the leaders before halfway shook up the running order. Sean Lias inherited the lead and looked to be headed to another strong win until his engine expired, handing the lead to Chris Taylor. Taylor held off Caswell, who charged from the back of the pack after the tangle, to notch the win, with Caswell, Chris Thurston, George Valenti, and Jerry Fobare rounding out the top five.

Russ Marsden dominated the 15-lap Pure Stock feature event while Dave Pope and Dave Mannise waged a great battle for the runnerup spot. However, in post race inspection, Marsden's car was found illegal and Pope was given the nod over Mannise, Fran Bryant, George Sanford, and Andy Wells.

Taylor Caprara nabbed his second straight win in the Junior Modified Lite class, beating out Jordan Keruskie in the 6-lap affair.

Racing continues next Thursday night at Thunder Alley Speedpark with the DIRT Modifieds, Sportsman, IMCA Modifieds, and Junior Modified Lites plus the Dwarf cars. Gates open at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
