PAT O'BRIEN WIRES 358 MODIFIED FIELD AT FROGTOWN SPEEDWAY

Hogansburg, NY - Pat O'Brien of Kingston, Ontario returned to Frogtown International Speedway and proved to everyone that he can still win and win big at the Northern New York speedplant.

Thirty-four 358 Modifieds attempted to qualify for the Coca-Cola 50 lap event with a guaranteed starting spot for Syracuse up for grabs. Twenty-seven cars started the main event with Pat O'Brien and Kayle Robidoux starting on the front row. O'Brien grabbed the early lead with Dave Heaslip and Danny O'Brien getting out quickly to put the early pressure on Pat.

On lap #9, Mike Perrotte started to make his move up through from his 6th starting spot and was able to get to second place at one point but it was short lived as Danny O'Brien was able to get back by again in lap 20.

Bill Mullin of Iroquios, Ontario was also on the move with Jeff Sykes and fellow Edwards, New York competitor Doug Fuller but Pat O'Brien was just to much for the star studded field and never looking back survived a number of cautions for the win. Danny O'Brien finished second as Bill Mullin picked up the spot for Syracuse with a third place finish, with Doug Fuller and Kevin Fetterly rounding out the top five.

In the DIRT Pro Stocks, Billy "the Kid" King continued his winning ways at the speedway by surviving a couple of late race restarts and strong challenges by Mitchell Jock and Jody Beckstead who finished second and third respectively. Mark Therrien and Scott Kocher rounded out the top five.

In the popular Semi Pro Division, Duane Brainard had his hands full as he had to fend off a determined Peter Backus for the win. Backus and Brainard came to the line inches apart. Pete Backus finished second, with Greg Snyder, Jamie Martin and Tim Allen rounding out the top five.

In the Bandit class, twenty-one cars took to the track with Cornwall, Ontario's Chris Tremblay taking home the win. Teammate Curtis McPhee got up for second as Case VanWinden, Kevin Fetterly, Jr. and Brian Loeb rounded out the top five.
