LADUC, JOCK, SMOKE & RADBOURNE TAKE FROGTOWN HONORS

Hogansburg, NY - Tim LaDuc of Orwell, Vermont became the 5th different 358 Modified feature winner this season at Frogtown.

LaDuc who had to qualify for the Wolfclan Truck Stop 25 for the 358 Modifieds through the consolation, which in fact he won, came from his 19th starting spot using a number of early race cautions to his advantage to take home the win.

In the early going Simon Marcoux of Alexandria, Ontario grabbed the lead and held on to it until lap 14 when Dave Heaslip took the lead on a restart.

Heaslip held the lead until LaDuc who seemed to have come from nowhere passed him on lap 21 for the win.

Mike Perrotte of Plattsburg, NY made a late race charge and fended off repeated challenges by Massena, New York's Kevin Fetterly to take second. Fetterly finished third with Simon Marcoux and South Mountain, Ontario's Rick Cauvier rounding out the top five.

In the DIRT Pro Stock Division, Mitchell Jock of Akwasasne won in convincing fashion driving the JR Fuels car #14. Jody Swamp with some superb driving throughout the race finished second with Denis Gauvreau, Billy "the Kid" King and Steve Francis rounded out the top five.

This was Mitchell Jock's first ever win in the Pro Stock Division.

In the always exciting Semi-Pro Class, Mark Smoke who has had a great 2000 season so far no matter where he goes brought home the win.

Greg Snyder who started way back in the field finished second, Duane Brainard, Steve Brand and Dick Planty rounded out the top five.

There were two violent accidents during the race. One involving the #82 of Marty Jock of Akwasasne when he and another car became entangled throwing Jock's car into the front straight wall. Jock emerged from the wreck ok. The second accident involved Jeb Beeson and Paul Czyz when they came together with Beeson connecting with the wall and flipping over. Beeson came away from the wreck with no injuries.

In the 4-cylinder Bandits , it was Mark Radbourne of Cornwall, Ontario with the win in yet another thriller that went right down to the wire.

Leo McPhee hung on for second with Jerry Thomas of Colton, New York finishing third. Brian Loeb and Barry Marshall rounding out the top five.

Owen White won the Enduro Feature.
