ADD MCKEE TO OCFS WIN LIST
Middletown, NY: Defending big block champion Chuck McKee of Middletown, NY became the 6th driver in 6 races to win the Modified feature at the Orange County Fair Speedway this season. After starting 11th Saturday night, McKee took the lead in the Johnson's Auto and Truck/Johnson Electric 30 lap feature on lap 22. He then went on to capture his 17th career win here putting him in 20th place on the all time win list. Bill Wilson was 2nd followed by Gary Edwards, Jr., Butch Tittle, and Bruce Kline.
The Mid City Transit Corp. 20 lap DIRT Sportsman feature went to Rick Mill of New Windsor, NY. Borrowing a ride from 2nd year driver Joe Higgins, Mill took the lead on lap 3 and remained in command the rest of the way. Mill is also the 7th winner in 7 events at Orange County in 2002. Chasing Mill home was last week's winner Stan Jablonka. Rich Coons, Joe Dunay, and Dave Fellman completed the top five.
The Expert Pro Stock feature of 14 laps went to current point leader Kevin Ward of Hyde Park, NY. He became the first repeat winner in the division this year. The 12 lap Rookie Pro Stock event was claimed for the 3rd time by point leader Bob Waters, Jr.of Stony Point, NY. Ron Irvin of Hyde Park, NY continues to rule in the Pure Stocks, taking his 4th feature of 12 laps.
The 358 modifieds return to the card on June 1 as they join the Modifieds, DIRT Sportsman, Pro Stocks and Pure Stocks for a full night of action that begins at 6:30 pm.
