TIM MCCREADIE VICTORIOUS IN THE DYNOMAX 100 AT RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY;

RANDY CHRYSLER CAPTURED THE SPORTSMAN FEATURE

Tim McCreadie of Watertown, NY captured his first feature ever at Ransomville Speedway last Wednesday night aboard the Dynomax 100-an Advance Auto Parts Super DIRT Series event sponsored by Mighty Taco, E-Z Oil, and Rissa Productions. McCreadie took the lead away from current Ransomville points leader Danny Johnson on lap thirty and led the remaining seventy circuits on his way to victory.

Danny Johnson of Rochester, NY took the lead at the drop of the green from his pole position starting spot. Johnson held a very slim margin over Billy Decker and Tim McCreadie as the field completed lap ten. A side by side duo between Alan Johnson and Chuck Bower for fourth position ensued as Decker ran a tight second up front. Danny Johnson was in lapped traffic before the fifteen lap mark asthe top three pulled away from the field.

Decker took a look to the bottom of Johnson on lap twenty one but Johnson was able to hold on to the lead. This three car battle kept fans on the edge of their seats as they ran bumper to bumper. A caution on lap twenty-three for Rich Vinson who slowed in turn one bunched up the field. The restart found Johnson choosing the inside putting Decker alongside on the top. Johnson was able to maintain the top position as McCreadie made a bid for second. McCreadie made the pass on Decker and took over the second spot as Johnson continued to show the way. Johnson was running the extreme top and actually tagged the wall slightly on lap twenty-nine. McCreadie took a peak to the inside of Johnson as the pair entered turn three. McCreadie officially crossed the line in the lead on lap thirty-one with Johnson, Decker, Alan Johnson, and Gary Tompkins rounding out the top five. The second caution flew on lap thirty-four for Todd Gordon who spun in turn one.

The restart found McCreadie maintain the lead and actually pull away slightly from the remainder of the field. Alan Johnson took over the second position with Decker in tow. The third caution flag flew for Gordon as he came to rest up against the turn four guardrail. Once again McCreadie showed the way on the restart as Alan Johnson challenged. Tim Fuller took over fourth on lap forty-four as Danny Johnson dropped to fifth. Johnson appeared to have major problems with the J & J owned #27 as he continued to fade. Gary Tompkins moved into the top five on lap forty-nine. The top three of McCreadie, Alan Johnson, and Decker enjoyed a slight advantage over Fuller and Tompkins as the field completed lap sixty.

Alan Johnson piloted his Pillsbury sponsored machine to the high side of McCreadie which allowed Decker to pull alongside. This resulted in Fuller and Tompkins being able to close the distance between the two groups making it a five car race up front. Tompkins suffered a mechanical failure on lap sixty-eight which brought out another caution. Brett Hearn broke into the top five followed by Kenny Tremont, Don Spatarico, Danny Johnson, Pete Bicknell, and Steve Paine. McCreadie continued to show the fast way around the half mile as he took the win in the 100 lap event. Alan Johnson, Fuller, Hearn, and Tremont rounded out the top five.

Randy Chrysler of the Tuscarora Nation certainly has things going his way as he captured his fourth win of the season last Wednesday night aboard the DIRT Sportsman event. Chrysler was running fifth with three laps remaining and suddenly found himself in the runner up position. Chrysler would capitalize on the bad fortune of others and take the big win aboard his Bicknell chassis.

Dave Just grabbed the early lead from his pole position starting spot. The Kott brothers Sean and Rob ran second and third followed by Jeff McGinnis, and Tony Purgarich. Just immediately stretched out to about a five car length advantage in the early going while Kevin Wills advanced from his ninth place starting position to fifth by lap five. McGinnis took over the runner up spot on lap seven and quickly reeled in Just. McGinnis took to the inside of Dave Just on lap nine and took over the lead.

Stewart Friesen broke into the top five on lap eleven as the feature continued under green flag conditions. Friesen continued his charge to the front as he took over the second position on lap twenty. McGinnis was trapped behind the lapped car of PJ Allen which allowed Friesen to close the margin to less than a car length. Friesen was able to pull along side of McGinnis as they entered turn two. As the pair went into turn two side by side, contact was made resulting in both spinning out of contention. Dave Just inherited the lead but had a tire go down relinquishing it to Rob Kott. As the field came down for one to go, Chrysler took a look to the inside of Kott for the pass and the win. Kott, Scott George, Wills, and Sean Kott rounded out the top five. Heat winners were Friesen and Just.
