COFFEY, FRIESEN, MCCOY, WILSON, AND EATON WIN FEATURES AT RANSOMVILLE

RANSOMVILLE, NY…On Mullane Chevrolet night at Ransomville Speedway, Vic Coffey of Leicester, NY took top honors aboard the Mighty Taco 358 Modified feature last Friday night. Piloting his Sweeteners Plus sponsored entry, Coffey led the entire 30 laps which went green to checkered to collect his second win of the season in dominating fashion.

Robbie Krull took the lead at the drop of the green and held it until lap three when Coffey took over the top spot. Coffey quickly distanced himself from the remainder of the field while Krull ran a strong second. Todd Burley was on the move aboard his 89b, taking third only to find the top two half a lap ahead.

Danny Johnson was aboard the Dan Miller #22 Bicknell entry after suffering engine problems in his heat and was quickly moving through the field. As the laps dwindled away, Coffey continued to pull away and dominate while Krull and Burley battled for second. At the line it was Coffey in for the win with Burley taking the runner up position. Krull finished in third followed by Johnson and Pete Bicknell. Heat winners were Coffey and Krull.

Stewart Friesen was awarded the Queenston-Lewiston Duty Free Sportsman win after Scott George was penalized two positions for rough riding. George had led the majority of the feature go until a lap car spun directly in front of him. In an evasive move to the highside, George ended up losing the top spot to Randy Chrysler. With one lap remaining, the restart found Chrysler setting the pace with George and Friesen rounding out the top three. As they went into turn one, George made contact with Chrysler and took over what was going to be an apparent win. Chrysler fell back to third while Friesen took the all important second position. Officials deemed George's move to be unsportsmanlike and penalized him two positions, giving the win to Friesen. Chrysler finished second while George ended up third. Heat winners were George, Chad Brachmann, and Jeff McGinnis. Points leader Brachmann seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time all night and suffered a dismal finish.

The NAPA Prostock feature win went to Pat McCoy aboard his Koeppen Farms sponsored machine. In what was deemed to be the feature of the night, a total of nine cars ran in the lead pack for much of the event. When all was said and done it was McCoy sitting in victory lane followed by points leader Joe Stefanski, Jeff Martin, Scott Kerwin, and Dan Schulz. Heat winners were Roger Chrysler, Steve Devos, and Dan Schulz.

The Fish's Automotive Streetstock Twin feature events were won by Dave Eaton and Jeremy Wilson. Eaton captured his first ever feature win aboard the first 15 lap event, leading from the green. Following Eaton across the line were Cory Sawyer and Rick Gorhan. Wilson also captured his first feature ever in the second 15 lap race. Wilson took the lead on lap 1 and was never seriously challenged after that point. Following Wilson across the line were John Dietz and Don Barnes. Heat winners were Fred Srock, Jeremy Martin, and Dave Jowdy.

Kay Holmes won the Ladies Race.
