ROBBIE KRULL CAPITALIZES ON SPATARICO MISHAP AND CAPTURES FEATURE WIN;

CHRYSLER, STEFANSKI, MORRIS, AND BARNES ALSO WIN

RANSOMVILLE, NY…Robbie Krull of Lockport, NY captured his first win at Ransomville Speedway this season last Friday night aboard the Mighty Taco 358 Modified division. Piloting his #123 Cambria Contracting Bicknell chassis, Krull took the lead away from Don Spatarico on the final circuit aboard the Niagara Gazette Kids night.

Sam Crogan took the lead at the drop of the green followed by Russ Zimmerman, Rich Vinson, Spatarico, and Mark Sylvies. Contact between Sylvies and Zimmerman sent Zimmerman hard into the front stretch moat and also collected the cars of Todd Burley, Ken Winfield, Billy Krull, and Danny Johnson. Johnson and Billy Krull were able to pull away while Winfield, Burley, and Zimmerman were done for the night. Vinson was also sent pitside for his involvement.

Crogan continued to show the way until lap 7 when Spatarico made the pass for the top spot. Spatarico quickly distanced himself from the remainder of the field while hotshoes Coffey, Bicknell, and Johnson broke into the top five. Robbie Krull now ran second several car lengths behind Spatarico. With the final circuits clicking away, it appeared to be over as Spatarico had the field covered. However, as Spatarico set up for turn one of the final circuit, he drifted a little high and made contact with the turn one guardrail. This was just what the doctor ordered for Krull as he made the pass on the lowside, took the lead and the win. Spatarico held onto second followed by Bicknell, Coffey, and Johnson.

The Harold Rinehart Memorial Modified Dash for Cash winner was Billy Krull.

Randy Chrysler made it two for two in as many weeks aboard the Queenston-Lewiston Duty Free Sportsman feature go. Chrysler took the lead away from James Strassburg on lap 10 and nursed an ill-handling motor to victory lane. Don Martin, Stewart Friesen, Jeff McGinnis, and Chad Brachmann rounded out the top five.

The NAPA Prostock 20 lap feature event was won by Pete Stefanski. Stefanski inherited the lead after a bizarre incident under caution just after half way. The caution flew as the cars of Jeff Martin, Mike Martin, and Brad Malloy came together in turn three. Points leader Joe Stefanski appeared not to see the caution as he passed some six cars and made hard contact with race leader Jason Boyle resulting in Boyle with a left rear flat. With Boyle in the pits, Pete Stefanski inherited the lead. Stefanski led the remainder of the event to capture his second win of the season. Steve Lewis, Pat McCoy, Steve Devos, and Scott Kerwin rounded out the top five.

The Fish's Automotive Streetstock 15's were won by Alex Morris and Don Barnes. Morris took the lead away from Ben Hornquist who held on for second. Barnes took the lead away from Derek Smith who also held on for the runner up spot. Bobby Clare won the Tarnowski Racing Engine compliments of Al Tarnowski Racing Engines.
