Kekich Climbs The Hill

HARTFORD, OH Mike Kekich won the

Sprint Car feature and Del Rougeux captured the big-block Modified main last Saturday night at Sharon Speedway.

Kekich, the defending track champion, overtook Chad Hill for the lead on a lap-13 restart in the 25 lap Sprint event. He marched on to defeat Ed Lynch Jr., who maintained second despite executing a 360 degree spin when he challenged Kekich on the final lap.

Rougeux, meanwhile, recorded his first-ever tri umph at Sharon in the 25-lap big-block Modified headliner. He earned his money, passing defending track champion Ron Smoker for the lead on lap 22. Smoker settled for second place, a few car

lengths behind Rougeux at the end. Randy Hall of Olean, N.Y., won the 40-lap Yoark Triathalon E-Modified Series special in his first
