PETE BICKNELL WINNER AT MERRITTVILLE SPEEDWAY

Frontier Auto Dismantlers night, Saturday at Merrittville Speedway found defending points champion, Pete Bicknell the winner after 35 laps.

Rookie driver Chris Ricker led the 1st lap then Fred Cade took over for the next three laps. Harvey Hainer took the lead and started into a battle with Cade until lap 15 when the ac- tion was halted by a yellow. On the restart Cade went back in the lead with Hainer right on his back bumper. On lap 28 coming off turn two, Cade and Hainer came together with both spinning and going out of the lead. Bicknell, running in third took the lead on the restart and held on for the win. Jim Begolo finished second with Brian Stevens third, fourth was Davey Moore and fifth was Bill Torrisi.

Modified heats were won by Cade, and Hainer. The Sportsman cars also had extra laps as they ran a 35 lap

feature with Scott Wood taking the win leading the full 35 laps. Terry St. Amand was second with Rob Leddingham

third. Fourth was Pat Sonnenberg and fifth went to Dean Ferri.

St. Amand and Amdy Imbeault were Sportsman heat win- ners.

The Bomber feature once again was a wild affair with Jim Lampman getting the win. In the runnerup spot was Wayne Howard and Glenn Baker third. Fourth and fifth was Randy Hollingsehad and Larry Englington. Keith Bush and Ted Holt were the Bomber heat winners.

For the 12 lap Amateur feature it was John Pendykoski get- ting his sixth win of the season. Running a close second was Barry Robbins and third was Scott Dunn. Fourth went to Bob Richards with fifth going to Graham Ricker. Amateur heats were taken by Pendykoski and Scott Mitchell.
