Roselli, Mele, Loney, Evans, Nolf Win At Lake Moc-A-Tek

(Lakeville, Pa.) Former 358 Modified champion Dom Roselli picked up

his first feature win since his 1999 championship season last Saturday

night at the Lake Moc-A-Tek Speedway. Defending track champion Ralph

Mele continued to dominate Sportsman action with his fifth win of the

season while defending Street Stock champion Mike Loney also picked up a

Saturday night feature win. Nate Evans won his fourth Pure Stock feature

of the season while Kevin Nolf won his first career feature in 250cc

Micro Sprint action.

The win for Roselli was a convincing one as the Middletown, NY

native grabbed the lead early in the 30 lap feature event and had things

pretty much his own way once out front. Bobby Puckett made a late charge

challenge Roselli in the closing stages, but Roselli was too strong and

picked up the win aboard his Tri State Roofing sponsored #80. Puckett

crossed the line second with Alan Kellogg, Joey Grammes, and Bill Reese

completing the top five. Gary Griffin, Mike Ricci, Tom Oleski, Jason

Rudalavage, and George Hildebrandt complete the top ten.

Defending Sportsman division track champion Ralph Mele continued to

dominate the Sportsman division, picking up his fifth win of the 2001

season aboard his Co-Fab sponsored #711. Ralph started eighth in the

feature, working his way quickly toward the front of the fieed, taking

the top spot from Alex Knopka near the midway point of the feature. Once

out front, Ralph was able to open up a comfortable advantage over Knopka,

who would chase him the rest of the way before settling for a strong

runner-up finish. Mike Marold scored a career best third with Bob

Grammes and Mike Schane making up the rest of the top five. Chris

Clemons, Ted Stout, Mike Trautschold, Buddy Altemose and Cory Jennings

made up the rest of the top ten.

Defending Street Stock champion Mike Loney continued his quest to

defend his championship as he picked up his fourth win of the season.

Mike Van Tassel picked up a season's best second place finish while David

Luff, Bob Beatty, and Jim Hughes Jr. making up the rest of the top five.

Finishing in positions six through ten were Joe Krisovich, Rick Smith,

Tom Herman, Ed kudrako, and Brian Duffin.

Nate Evans picked up the Pure Stock victory with a late race pass of

Franklin Bush to take the win. The decisive moment came on a last lap

restart when Evans was able to get to the outside of Bush and drive past

to take the win. Bush finished second trailed by Todd Hotaling, Eric

Schmidt, and Jim Bargabus. Gary Scotch, Keith Villano, John Villano, Ira

Landrum, and Jeff Simko finished in positions six through ten

respectively.

Kevin Nolf picked up his first career Micro Sprint victory with a

green to checkered run in the 15 lap Micro Srpint feature. Ralph Utter

Jr. trailed Nolf across the line with Ricie Hartman charging from 19th

starting spot to finish third. Mike Keppler and Jason frantz completed

the top five. Stephanie Stevens, Rich McKay, Kyle Pickering, John Hagan,

and Geoff Quackenbush completed the top ten in the Micro Sprint feature.
