Tim Sears Jr. won the 35 lap Empire State Challenge at the Weedsport Speedway on Saturday. This was Tim's ninth win of the season, second at Weedsport Speedway this year, and second Non-series win of the season. For the 29 year old Sears it was their second win putting him eighteenth on the Weedsport Speedway win list since 2002. Finishing 0.1280 seconds behind in second was Jimmy Phelps. This was Jimmy's fourteenth Top 5 of the season, third at Weedsport Speedway this year, and second Non-series Top 5 of the season. Finishing third was Erick Rudolph, their thirty-first top 5 of the year. Finishing fourth was Mike Maresca, their Twentieth top 5 of the year. Finishing fifth was Pat Ward, their ninth top 5 of the year. Jackson Gill, Ben Bushaw, Billy Dunn, Ronnie Davis III, and Bob Henry Jr. rounded out the top 10.
